I HAD A DREAM

 

 

 

I dreamed

 we two went

on a broom
It was draughty

 but there was plenty

of room
We went

where the sun

 always shone
Where happiness

reigned

and sorrow was gone
Then with sadness

 I stirred and awoke
Berating

the vivid dream

 as some tasteless joke
But then

 I understood

that always balance

must reign
Joy and happiness

must be balance

by strife and pain
Our choice

to compare

the two

and decide

to be glad
Or to be lost

 in despair

under a black cloud

so sad
